In June 2008 the traditional Symposium on Steel Sculptural Art is going to be held in Kecskemét for the fifth time. This year the creative work started on 16th June with the participation of 10 well-known artists, at the Industrial Hall of KÉSZ Kft.
The sculptors working in teams are free to experiment with the different material types and technologies, which provides a great opportunity to elaborate new endeavours of sculptural art, to expand the use of materials, to renew techniques and to vitalize progressive initiatives. Sculptures, space plastics dreamt up by the most skilled representatives of modern sculptural art are the formalized artistic conceptions of free, novel initiatives. The Symposium itself is a proof of such versatile and manifold opportunities of creation.
A specialty of this year is that during the open day planned for 23rd June the interested visitors can get an insight into the process of creation. The exhibition organized in the Industrial Hall of KÉSZ Kft. from the works of art made here will be visitable after the decision of the jury, from 4th July for two weeks, but as a result of the success of the previous years the works of art will be seen at several exhibitions later.
